Typical character

Another task of the work was to choose a typical character of an English-speaking country, choose one of our country (South Africa), the chosen person is Nelson Mandela.

Nelson Mandela was a lawyer, rebel leader and president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999, regarded as the most important leader of Black Africa, a Nobel Peace Prize in 1993 and the father of modern South African nation, which is usually referred to as Madiba (his clan name) or Tata ('Father').

Born into a family of tribal nobility, a small village in the interior where they might come to occupy management positions, refused that destiny at age 23 to follow for capital, Johannesburg, and start its political activities. Moving from the rural interior to a rebellious college life, turned into a young lawyer in the capital and leader of non-violent resistance of youth, eventually infamous as a defendant in a trial for treason. Outlaw, became later the most famous prisoner in the world and, finally, the most awarded in political life, responsible for the rebuilding of their country as a multiethnic society.
